The Hereford Fire Service and Worcestershire Fire Service merged in 1974 to become Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service. It consists of 27 stations with a total of 41 fire engines placed throughout the county. In an average year, the fire service will process nearly 10,000 emergency calls.
